Need fencer recommendations - but no access to neighbour's garden

I'm thinking I can't be the only one with this issue.. A fence on one side of our garden has fallen over into our garden. The guy we've spoken to about fixing this has said he needs access into the neighbour's garden too in order to secure the posts and panels in. However, our neighbour simply won't engage to allow access - we've knocked dozens of times, left a note, etc. (We're happy to pay for it, we literally just need the access.) We moved into the property a year ago, and from speaking to the previous residents, they never had any contact with him either.

So we're a bit stuck. Has anyone ever used a fence company that was able to fix a fence without going into their neighbour's garden? Or have any ideas on how to resolve this?

You could ditch the post and panel system - and change to posts, arris rails and feather edge - giving yourself the 'good' side (which is the last part of the process, nailed on from your side of the garden).

They look nicer than posts and panels anyway IMO. Especially if you have to good side, which I wouldn't lose any sleep over taking, considering the circumstances.

    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
