TAKE TWO! Apologies must have been having a 63yo 'senior moment' well at least I did not part with ?32, admit I was duped by a so called Ruth Miller 76 who was attacked on the same day in multiple locations, she has popped up in East Croydon and Lewisham - so far.

Just wanted to say that Thunderblue aka Michael is a really nice chap. He does absolutely loads of voluntary work for the community particularly in Nunhead. At the start of the pandemic he was first out of the block delivering prescription medicines for Krystals pharmacy, free of charge for those elderly and vulnerable that could not get out.

He also escorted an Elvis impersonator all around the streets of Nunhead to cheer people up and raise money for charity, when we were clapping for the NHS.

His post is a genuine effort to let people know about these alarms in case they wish to get one.

The most generous, kind and charitable person you are ever likely to meet.

My dear neighbour Janet her son has ordered one of these alarms, she made an informed decision after reading the article - so if my effort to share this information here is going to make ONE person feel safer when out on the streets then it has been a worthwhile exercise

When I tried the website yesterday I found that if I simply left the order selection page open, the system produced a gradual series of reductions — one of them even incorporating a 'lucky' spinner — that brought the offered price for a pair down from approximately ?65 to ?32, ?17, and then ?8, with graduated prices of ~ ?7 per pair for larger orders. This morning it did the same.

I wouldn't in any case even consider buying from these systematically lying shysters. There are plenty of sellers on other familiar web marketplaces, some offering unit prices of around ?4 or even less, and some verified purchaser recommendations that can probably be trusted. Cf the attached. Repeated edits, btw, due to some glitchiness experienced in updating image attachmemts.
