How much has yours gone up this year and who is the provider

I have paid ?70 a month for ages but now need to pay off the access (?150) and increase monthly payments

EON is the provider - they say I should increase to ?143 but I'll increase to ?110 and see.

There was a 1 year fixed ay the same price as the variable offered on Monday but it was withdrawn on Tuesday.

Mine was to have gone up 50% but then I went online to e-on's site and that offer had gone. The E-on Energy Plan was not fixed and predicted a doubling of my current payments over the year April 22 - 23. The next best option was fixed and was another forty quid or so monthly, but that would mean that an October hike would not affect me (I think). I am using 20 percent less leccy and gas than last year and am determined to reduce more. (Of course, all of these are projected usage so if I am really scrimpy then I could reduce these estimates considerably.)
My fixed deal ended in early January and had to take a variable deal which shortly afterwards was withdrawn for new customers. Currently the direct debit is the same as was on the fixed deal, but expecting that will need to either be increased or will have to pay any debt at the end of each quarter. I checked the suppliers new variable tariffs a few weeks ago, it was shocking to see how much further they have increased compared to what I am expecting to be paying.
My EDF dual fuel fixed deal ends at the end of April '22. Currently DDR of ?90 pcm. Just went online to see what fixed deals they're offering - both with DDR over ?300 pcm. They have a warning on the site saying their fixed tariffs are currently more than the standard variable.

    • I don't know how it works now but my late parents had little money when they were retired (just state pension and they rented their flat) and they used to take their cat to the Blue Cross (In Victoria if I remember correctly) where treatment was free for those who could'nt afford a private vet. I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
