Kawai K3 Gloss Black Upright Piano + Stool

Recommended Posts

Our piano is 'as new'. I personally polished it once per two weeks and was militantly protecting it from children and my husband:)

This is Kawais' equivalent of the ever-popular Yamaha U1

The action is from Kawai's professional range using the millennium action for a quicker return when playing faster sections. It is a pleasure to play. The sound is bright and modern with a strong bass that you get from newer pianos. The piano is in fantastic condition There is no play in the key bushings or action parts and plays as a new piano would. If you think that some Yamaha models are quite sharp and bright the Kawai is your answer with a softer sound while still sounding modern.

I would be happy to recommend this piano for all levels of pianists and would look fantastic in any environment.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
