Velfac front door??

Hi all, very random request, and not quite sure which room to put it in...

We need a new front door, and someone recommended Velfac, but apparently their nearest distributor with a showroom showcasing a front door is Milton Keynes.. not the most convenient from ED. Does anyone know anyone in the area that has installed a Velfac front door? If so, would they mind if I cycled over at some point to take a very brief external look at the door? I wouldn't disturb anyone and won't touch anything I promise!

If don't feel comfortable sharing an address, any feedback or even a photo would be hugely appreciated!

Ask the distributor or a local installer, although it may be that your particular model may not be availble for inspection or the homeowner may not welcome a visit (perfectly reasonable).

I've just had a lovely pirnar aluminium front door installed, it's very highly insulated and triple glazed and has made a massive difference to our house in terms of thermal and noise insulation. Unfortunately, the only dealer with a full set on display was thames valley windows in bracknell ... but they do have a massive selection on display.

Thanks Redpost, unfortunately I've tried numerous distributors and showrooms, and noone has any of their doors on display.. even tried a showroom way outside of London, who had a door to be installed for a client that I could have seen (I don't mind that it wouldn't be fixed and "working") but they shipped it before I could get there..

Has anyone on the EDF had a velfac door??

Why don't you try thames valley windows? they have a reasonable number of front doors on display

With so many door models, styles and finish types you're probably never going to see the exact door you're looking at. But you can look at the quality

Speak to RDA Architects, fairly sure he did the development next to the Jeannie Avent art gallery on Lacon Road, seem to remember the windows were Velfac, they are specified a lot by architects...

The new flats on Champion Hill (Cavell House? ) have Velfac windows, might be with a look?
