An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join this highly prestigious and well respected law firm, the Head Office of which is based in East Dulwich. We have two positions available ? one at our East Dulwich office and one at our Ramsgate office.

The role is based within the Property Team so experience within this particular practice area would be preferable, in particular knowledge of Conveyancing procedures, although this is not essential. You will also be required to assist within the Probate/Wills Team as and when required.

Duties as follows:

* Assist fee earners with case management.

* To proactively liaise with walk in clients and over telephone

* To liaise and assist with enquiries made by clients and other third parties.

* To ensure all files are updated and processed accordingly

* To conduct legal research as required.

We are looking for a Paralegal with a law degree and ideally part or fully LPC qualified, although this is not essential.

Prior working knowledge of Conveyancing would be a definite advantage, but again, this is not essential.

A sound work ethic with a proactive attitude and meticulous attention to detail are paramount in order to be considered for this role.

If you are an ambitious Legal Assistant/Paralegal and you believe that your skills, academic credentials and experience match the above criteria, do not hesitate to submit your details to avoid disappointment.

    • Is anyone else having difficulty booking Silver Swim sessions (Tuesday and Thursday between 3pm-4pm?) Almost all the spaces are taken before the online booking system opens at 10pm several days before. Last night there appeared to be one space available for next Tuesday. I tried to book at one second past 10pm but was unsuccessful. This seems to have been a recent phenomenon. I made a telephone call this morning but just received a recorded message saying that the voicemail box was full. Am I right in assuming that in person bookings are now taking precedence over online ones?
    • I completely agree with you, Angelina. But it's worth noting that no one else has a problem with her, or finds her rude /  has mentioned her aggressively banging gates / ringing doorbells etc.
    • But I don't think that was what you meant, was it? But he can hardly be held responsible for what somebody else did! Just discovered I forgot to post the above  last night, and now it's overtaken by long posts.  I don't have sufficient knowledge  to counter some of what has been said above, some of which appears to be opinion rather than facts, so it would be pointless for me to say anything else.
