Honestly in the current market, I wouldn't recommend changing suppliers, if you do you're likely to get a worse deal then you currently are on. Lots of tariffs offered towards the end of last year/early this year have already been closed to new customers, because of the continued increase in wholesale prices.

I'm with London Power, from April 2nd the estimated cost for my domestic gas and electricity will rise by ?700. And at the time the variable tariff I switched to still offered good prices for per KWh, as my fixed tariff deal came to an end in January. The real sucker in all of this is that energy providers have sky rocketed the cost of the standing daily charge, so much so it is more than the cost of per KWh in some cases, although these are pretty much fixed costs for the energy suppliers. If energy suppliers wanted to help customers they would curb the standing charge increases which they have forced on customers.

By all means take a look at what's on offer, but I doubt you'll find a better deal for comparable usage.

Oh, well, if you know a energy who doesn't charge a daily standing charge, do tell.

ACtually it is a requirement of Ofgem for energy suppliers TO charge a daily standing charge, so unfortunately no getting away from it.

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.

If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
