Don't know about a stamp collection, but for unused stamps with the Queens head on them you can get a form from the Delivery/sorting office counter from end of this month, or the Royal Mail website.

Unfortunately the Post Office for some unknown reason will not hold these forms (possibly to make the process more inconvenient). My understanding is and please correct if I'm wrong, that you then have to complete the form and send it with the stamps to the address on the form. They'll send you back replacement stamps.

As a suggestion I'd count up how many 1st, 2nd and other stamps you have, keep a record and photographic evidence as proof just in case. IMO the process would have been far simpler if stamps could have been exchanged at a Post Office, (oh they shut the big post Office in Rye Lane and the one on Lordship Lane is a small one)

Good Luck....

From Royal Mail website: https://www.royalmail.com/sending/barcoded-stamps

'Transition to Barcoded Stamps

Non-barcoded stamps will be phased out but will remain usable until 31 January 2023. Customers are encouraged to use their non-barcoded stamps before this date. Alternatively, non-barcoded stamps can be exchanged for the new barcoded version through Royal Mail?s ?Swap Out? scheme.

The ?Swap Out? scheme will open on 31 March 2022. Forms will be available via a variety of channels, including local Customer Service Points; the Royal Mail website and via our Customer Experience team. Customers will be able to use a Freepost address. Further details will be announced shortly.'
