Do you tell each of them that you are also making representations to the other two?

Can you publish your figures please. And what do you mean by informally?

Hello Ianr,

No I dont tell each of the other councilors that I have contacted each of them.

Yes you are right, the parking service generally rejects appeals during the informal stage. This is the stage when you have made a challenge during the first 14 days when the opportunity to pay is at the 50% rate. The formal stage is when you receive the Notice To Keeper in the post.

You requested i publish my figures, i did not know what that meant sorry.

I posted upthread after a similar experience to you.

We paid the fine and appealed but was rejected on the grounds that we didn?t check that

the payment had gone through (why would we? We?d received email confirmation).

Emailed our local councillor (Richard Leeming) who agreed it was bonkers. Not sure if councillor Leeming was directly involved but we received a refund today. Common sense finally prevailed!

    • Closing down completely. The lovely people there are all retiring. Thanks, but Deptford is a long way to go to make two journeys to  take and collect a car! Do they not do even relatively minor repairs if it fails its MOT first time? Then that would require four journeys 😭 Wondering if there's already a thread on here for garage recommendations? People on my road WhatsApp group have recommended some local ones. I'm particularly gutted because apart from the lovely people who worked there,  Dell was a five minute walk for me!
    • I did think that might be the reason, but five years out of seven it's going to be a weekday (I think. Not sure how leap years might affect things!)
    • Probably because the 5th was a weekday. We still have the weekend to come. Also, some fireworks going off nearly every night for the last few months. Last night something was being let off that made a very deep booming noise every 10 seconds or so. That said, if the general public are beginning to see the harm done by firework noise and choosing to use low noise options and refusing to support organised events that still use the full throttle type, I for one would be very happy. Does anyone know if the Herne Hill Velodrome Halloween fireworks event used low noise options?
