David Wilson - Fantastic local personal trainer - a recommendation

I wanted to share my recommendation for Dave, who has been my personal trainer for over a year and helped me to really improve strength and fitness. I'm in my mid 50's and never really worked out with weights before, and Dave introduced me to how to use weights safely as well as the value of short but regular workouts. He has great technical knowledge and pays close attention to ensuring that exercises are correctly completed, also bringing a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the sessions. Last month Dave started to advise me on a 3 month weight loss programme, designing a calorie counting approach that fits in around my lifestyle, rather than having to totally change it, and providing fantastic motivation and support. I?m really pleased with the results so far, lost 4kg in 6 weeks. Dave is a top PT, strongly recommended.

The sessions can take place outside in open spaces, parks, inside homes or in gardens. David is based in West Dulwich and works regularly in all the surrounding areas.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
