Just to let people know a new exhibition opened at Hall Place in Bexley, the exhibition is called Beastly Hall...

There is lots of crazy taxidermy and stuff, my 3 year old liked it, so did we and the parents in law, older kids and teenagers I expect would like it too, so it really is one for the whole family. They also have an Easter garden trail on during the school holidays (?2), we didn't do it though as we were only at Hall Place for a couple of hours and weren't interested in rushing.

?7 entry for adults into the house, but if you giftaid you can visit for 12 months, I am not sure what age kids start paying, maybe 16?

They are still talking on the ticket counter about all the people from Dulwich that went to their Fairytale exhibition after somebody wrote about it on the forum :-D

If you have under 12s and the weather picks up, if you make the trek over you can also stop at Danson Park where there is a fab playground and a small splash park. I have now planned a whole day out for you :-)

Just back from a thoroughly enjoyable few hours at Hall Place. Too damp to do much outdoors, but the ticket we got last year gave us free entry into the house. There's a fab interactive room on the ground floor which the kids loved and the beastly exhibition was really good. Nice lunch in the cafe, ?3.95 for kids pasta, lunch bags etc, and decent adult meals for ?9.95 including a glass of wine.

We had a potter about in the greenhouse on the way out, looking forward to some warmer weather so we can explore the gardens.

    • You don't need a gym to lose 10kg. Get a set of dumbbells and maybe a resistance band, find a HIIT channel you like on youtube and workout in your room, eat clean and go out every day. £115/mo is ridiculous. I thought they were supposed to be about £20 to £30 and most people give up come February anyway.
    • Point taken..I go 3-4 times a week and have done every week for several years however £115 a month is still a lot of money for many people (myself included) for a 'non essential' One can if one wishes excersise by running or Cycling, swimming once in a while. Gym membership IS a luxury...
    • Tawny owls are hooting in Dawsons Heights very near me. But very elusive birds. Sadly now on the amber list.  I have heard the owls every night for the past couple of weeks  It is good to know they are here. They are quite loud so I think they are very near. I have never seen an owl in the wild before and wish I  could  see them.
