Sorry if this isn?t the right section to post.

I?ve just had plantation shutters installed and I knew (as did the company when they measured) that the windows aren?t straight. But apparently neither are many windows in period properties ! Sadly the company made no effort to compensate for this and so the shutters don?t look right, and accentuate the unevenness in the windows. It?s quite upsetting as I got several quotes, and obviously shutters themselves are expensive.

Does anyone by any chance have any advice, or recommendations of any specialists I could speak to? Keen to see what the options are for improving the look.

Thanks very much in advance.

I've actually just installed 4 of them myself in a victorian bay (I'm a pro diyer), it's tricky and you need to take your time getting them straight, square and packing them out on an uneven wall.

I would refuse to pay until fitted correctly, after all if you're fitting these things every day you should get pretty good at it.

Adding the strike to this just makes everything feel even more impossible and he's pretty low right now.
