Local Notary for witnessing a signature

Any recommendations for a local SE21/22/15 (and cost-efficient) notary for the witnessing of a signature on a one-page document.

A public notary is different to a usual solicitor who may not be qualified to do the documents required for overseas legal matters... something to do with Roman law? If you state what it is you need doing you will get a specific quote for that work so it may not be an hour's work.

But when you consider a private medical consultation will cost about ?250 for 20-30mins, ?295 for specialist legal work doesn't sound incomparable but obviously worth getting more than one quote.
