The youtube video is an appeal for people not to go.

East Dulwich ? 30th May 2022

Urgent appeal

Something needs to be done about this now

Not good very sad state of affairs for teenagers growing up in my manor sad sad sad 😢!!!!

For all my friends and family in London!!!

Please everyone, tell your family (especially young ones) to AVOID burgess park on the 2nd of June.

If you have teenagers at home, you may have already heard of the ?post-code war? that had been planned for that day.

Young people are being encouraged to turn up with knives, imitation AND guns, machete, ACID etc.

If you have the tiktok app, search ?burgess park 2nd june?, and you will be shocked of the things being spread around.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
