Suggest that given this Forum is closing :-( you make a note of this guy who recently carried out a complicated connection and installation of my new Washer/Dryer.

I call him " the Corgi man" as he initially came came from Corgi Home Service to do annual check on Boiler. At thesame time I asked him bout my jammed radiator control valves...He fiddled with them all for a few minutes , used a special oil for rubber aand presto all OK. Compare this to gas safe plumber I had previously thought was good - but gave a verbal quote of ?300-400 but wd get aa written one - this never materialised.

Anyway back to my Corgi man... Labour, going to different shops to track down all the different bits needed came to only ?140 inc. VAT. Took Corgi man and his son about an hour to connect everything up.

Corgi man also rang to say was running a little late... can't fault him

Corgi man AKA Milford Haven's phone: 07792068049

  • 5 months later...

gaby -so glad you recommended Milford .I had a problem with a radiator ,phoned him yesterday (Sat) and he was with me on Sunday morning .

He sorted my radiator ,happily looked at some taps for me and will be coming back to fit a new pair and install some isolation valves .

He was so nice ,easy going and clearly knows exactly what he's doing .Honest and kind .

He says he works within the M25 circle .

    • We've lost our beautiful indoor cat who darted out of a window when we weren't looking. We are very worried about him in this extreme heat and with a thick fur coat. He is a big Siberian Forest cat with no street awareness, so please please share and please let us know if you see him. Thank you!
    • Yes, I have. We have gone fruit (seed/nut and mushroom) foraging in and out of London. I'll just recommend a couple of places I've found most rewarding. Wormwood Scrubs: you'll find blackberries, plums, sloes and apple trees. Holmewood (train journey, then either bike ride/cab to the top of the hill or a very long walk): bilberries galore! Be prepared to spend a few hours picking. It's a lovely area to explore and I am sure there are other wild fruits (I've only been twice due to the distance).
    • Had a green woodpecker visit our back garden this morning. Appeared to be eating ants or ant larvae.
    • any colour,  i'll just spray it black anyway. gimme a shout if you have one going. cheers   Niall
