My husband and I are looking for a 4 month let in the area. We are selling our flat in Camberwell after 18 years and have to wait for a long stop completion at end December on the house we are buying in Brockley.

We are storing furniture and belongings in our studio in Camberwell so will be travelling light but can bring bed if necessary! We are expecting a baby in October. We are looking for a 1 or 2 bed self contained flat please.

We are both artists and university lecturers. Can provide references. We would be really grateful to find somewhere lovely but reasonably priced for this unexpected drama in our parenting/ house move adventure.

  Between Herne Hill and North Dulwich gives you good options for transport. You have the line into London Bridge, trains to Victoria and the Thameslink into City Thameslink. Plus it's not too far from Brixton tube.

  You do know that this post is the reason that forums exist? So that people can ask for help, advice etc. I'm not sure what "...daughter of mothers" means but if you mean friends, not everyone has friends, or is confident enough to ask other mums at the school. Oh and you it's nothing to do with your age - be kind, be helpful or if you can't, leave it to someone who can.
