Many good recommendations in EDF under “kamal “

Someone is asking for genuine recommendation !

You're tossing your partners numbet saying he's great right ?

This should not be allowed

And you keep doing it

You should not be able post anything in my view

(If you could only honestly say that your hubby is free ..???)

What are the consequences to the business or trades person and the liability, if someone posts a recommendation and it turns out to be false??

IMO, all self recommendations should not be allowed, any false recommendations should result in the recommender and business both being banned by Admin.

People making false recommendations should also be banned, without some type of regulation being imposed, rouge traders will only continue to thrive, bringing and creating worry, misery and mis-trust for those who sadly end up being conned.

It further cast's a nasty shadow for the reliable trades people on here.

I do hope both businesses and trades people who say they can do a job have the requisite professional indemnity insurance in case or when things go wrong, or they cause damage or worse.

Consequently you'll think that this is yet another member of family, friend or himself who Is recommending this person being mentioned a " great professional "

"Well recommend "

"Highly skilled "

All of It is meaningless

And every great comment is worth less than a single sheet of toilet tissue once you find out that the tradesmen who is widely recommend and highly professional...

Someone who had done xy & z to for others is highly recommend by his family....

And she / he / they are clearly posting misleading comments in order to grow business which In my opinion is below surface if the only person who can post the great comment is a wife rather than a genuine client !

---> ban should be the answer to tackle lies and fakes

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
    • That was one that the BBC seem to have lost track of.  But they do still have quite a few. These are some in their 60s archive. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0028zp6
