Looking for a plumber to install a shower pump who is a good human being!

Good morning,


Over the past 2.5 weeks I've embarked on a journey I do not wish upon my worst enemy!

The simple act of finding a good plumber who is a decent human being and also possess replying back to your messages/phonecalls skills has become more complicated than learning about rocket science!


Below you will find a list of what I've been through but in case you don't make it that far...

Can someone please recommend a plumber who can install a shower pump ASAP on a gravity fed system.


Please don't just recommend your brother in law or your best friend, and they dont ever reply back to me. Time is ticking and I'm under immense pressure from our tenants to sort this out. I've been working tirelessly for 2.5 weeks and the result is absolutely fruitless.

The torture

We've had plumbers who :

- don't reply back

- one's who come to first appointment then disappear

- one who i found on this forum with excellent reviews, we paid a £75 call out fee just to look at the problem and then he disappeared! Only sporadically replying that in fact he has availability mid sept! Despite bring told the problem and it obviously needed to be sorted out asap

- and one lovely plumber who I found from the forum who was honest and genuine, and pointed me in the direction of a specialist who happens to be going on holiday in a few days.

      I wanted to just add that my experience has shown me that fitness classes aimed at an older demographic are often nowhere near as good or as much fun as those aiming at all and sundry.. most classes I've been to NOT aiming at 'Middle aged' people have had such a mixed bag and everyone does what they can at their own pace and this is encouraged. Do give it a go.

      Greens have some mad polices and I am still trying to work out if it is true that the leader of the party thought he could hypnotize women to have larger breasts 🤷‍♂️ country is in a real state at the min and all party’s have a part to play in that. what the future holds who knows but it is worrying.

      A stellar win for the Greens in Gorton and Denton, no doubt. But by-elections are funny beasts. Labour's strength traditionally has been in its ground game. Legions of canvassers over many years in many seats usually means that they are best placed to 'get out the vote' on election day. I can't quite believe that the Greens have enough data, or people, to wrest control of the council from Labour.
