I would suggest also looking at ikea kitchens which are just as good as the b&q / wicks ones

With careful fitting all seem as good as each other but look at quality of hinges, handles and doors as that's where a kitchen looks shabby after a while

Most kitchens use blum fittings, so are all the same in terms of quality. I did buy a £200 polish kitchen off ebay 10 years ago, that used some unmarked lower spec fittings, but quite understandable.

The main difference is flat pack/rigid ... obviously rigid is more expensive, and the carcasses will usually be better quality. An assembled flatpack kitchen wouldn't stand up to shipping.

Personally, after fitting lots of ikea furniture and seeing the fittings rip out of super cheap low density chip board I would avoid ikea, unless their kitchens are a step up quality wise and they make the carasses from decent density MDF.

The final difference is the fronts, if they are gloss then take a close look at the foils/seams to make sure of a decent quality.

Myself, I bought a german Schuller kitchen and fitted it myself ... which was a joy. Like so much, german sales pitch is quality led and rubbish is not tolerated, UK sales pitch is marketing led with a fast talking salesperson.
