VW car stereo - free

Hi all

Does anyone want this stereo recently removed from a 2011 VW Golf? It works fine but the power flickers on and off sometimes hence us replacing it (although we put up with it for 2 years).

It may be that the wires were simply loose and it would work fine when reinstalled (but I am afraid we didn't try that so I cannot confirm) or it may be that the radio is faulty as I suspect.

Anyway, someone may have a use for it or otherwise I'll take it to the recycling centre.

We are in Nunhead.

Thanks

    • It should be on the SNT crime radar - when I was given a crime number the police told me they'd be informing the SNT.    @KS23 Sorry this happened to you, it's not very nice. If it happens again, I'd try to take a photo of them from inside your house, assuming you can see who's at the front door from one of your windows. I'm assuming you don't have a doorbell cam - I doubt they'd target people who do. If it keeps happening, that might be a good deterrent
    • I'm payg on ee as long as I use my phone at least one month it's fine.my last top up was in December 2024 lol
    • I think even with PAYG you need to top them up at least every 6 months or the provider may well consider it inactive.
    • If your old mobile is a sim free phone.then yes any pay as you go sim card will work.if say your old mobile was on a certain network then you will need one of their sim cards .as sim cards come in all shapes and sizes🤔
