John at Aroofa came round to quote me on a guttering problem I had. It seems that it was quite complicated, as the people who had previous replaced the flat roof (not John!) had put the messed it up. I didn't know this until John came round, and he not only told me about the problem (rather than just quoting for the work and furthering his own needs!) but provided me with a emailed report including photographs to go back to the original roofing company to get it fixed. As a result, I saved over a thousand pounds and he got nothing out of it. I got his details from the forum, but felt that such a trustworthy and decent tradesman is a rare commodity. I only wish I needed more roofing work done!
