Local furniture shop or recommended carpenter?

Hi all,

We want to get a couple of bespoke pieces of furniture including a sideboard/buffet and a shoe-rack type piece. It seems that local furniture shops are few and far between (and the owner of the one near ED station was really unfriendly and unhelpful when we went there).

Any recommendations on a good furniture shop which will create bespoke pieces or alternately a good carpenter/freelancer who can do the same?
