Hi there

I used to be on Three, i gave up on them around 2018.

Whilst mobile calls were fine, mobile data was not, with many things simply not loading because of it.

Either too many customers in the area, or not enough signal, i don't know.

But no point paying for infinite data if nothing ever downloads.

That was 4 years ago - what's Three like around here these days?

Do people have any complaints about Three's voice and data coverage around East and West Dulwich, Denmark Hill areas?

Rob

Well I for one hope it holds up for the next couple of years because I recently signed up for the 5G service to replace my Virgin Media broadband.

So far, so good. Excellent signal strength and around 250GB download speed for £20 a month (£10 for the first 6).

ed_pete thanks for this post. I am "in process" of getting rid of Virgin Media broadband. Could you clarify which 5G service you switched to? And what sort of hardware you use

I use the standard 5G WiFi Router from 3. It's a re-branded ZTE model. I've set it up in bridge mode connected to my separate router via a cat 5 cable that I wanted to keep as all my devices were set up to connect to it and I didn't want to change this.

    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
    • Not miserable at all! I feel the same and also want to complain to the council but not sure who or where best to aim it at? I have flagged it with our local MP and one Southwark councillor previously but only verbally when discussing other things and didn’t get anywhere other than them agreeing it was very frustrating etc. but would love to do something on paper. I think they’ve been pretty much every night for the last couple of weeks and my cat is hating it! As am I !
    • That is also a Young's pub, like The Cherry Tree. However fantastic the menu looks, you might want to ask exactly who will cook the food on the day, and how. Also, if  there is Christmas pudding on the menu, you might want to ask how that will be cooked, and whether it will look and/or taste anything like the Christmas puddings you have had in the past.
