I found a dying fox in my garden earlier. It was under my kitchen window, so lucky that I went into the garden or I wouldn't have seen him.

It took me several phone calls to track down the right people to call.

If anybody else ever needs it, the Foxangelfoundation can be contacted via Facebook Messenger. They responded really quickly and sent out a rescuer from Nunhead

She has taken the fox to a vet but doesn't think it will survive 😭

London Wildlife Rescue said they didn't have enough fox rescuers, and the Fox Project said I was just outside their area.

Sadly the vet couldn't even find a vein to get fluids into the fox. It had to be put to sleep.

The vet thought it may have had a hernia.

The Fox Angel Foundation is a charity staffed entirely by volunteers. If anybody feels moved to make a donation, the money goes entirely to the foxes and vets' fees.

Thank you for posting the links - I had one in my garden who was in a very bad way but the time I got to finding the appropriate charity to call, he had managed to jump over the fence and disappeared. He was in a lot of pain, poor thing.

Will keep this handy in case he reappears.

    • I understand that, but I can't really grasp how it works in practice, but never mind 😵‍💫
    • It's local independent shops supporting one another.
    • Adding my recommendation for Niko too. Found his number on here and he came out at short notice on a busy weeknight to help us with a kitchen sink issue that had flooded our kitchen that day. Really helpful, responsive and went out of his way to fit us in and help us out. Very reasonably priced too - would thoroughly recommend!
    • Looks like it! Though according to the OP, they are "golden, hand-crimped parcels  packed with flavour" 😀 I don't understand. Admittedly my brain is functioning at a very low level at the moment. Does that mean various local shops get together and agree to offer a discount to anyone who shows them a receipt from one of the other ones dated the same day? I can't see what's in it for either of them, unless people shop somewhere they wouldn't otherwise have done just to get the discount. Is it for vaguely  linked things, say cheese from a cheese shop, wine from another shop? Showing my age there.  And then suppose it's always the same shop which people go to second to get the discount? What's in it for the first shop? People go there in order to get the discount in the second shop?
