We have 2 rides for Nov 26th, one 3.5 hours, one 2 hours. Remember you should register on Eventbrite, details below. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Even at the last minute it is worth cancelling (How to cancel).

Ride 1. Burgess Park to Belsize Park < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/burgess-park-to-belsize-park-cycle-ride-tickets-470969130347 >

10am, Burgess Park Café (Fuorvito café, 3 Chumleigh Street, SE5 0RJ). Return by 1.30pm. Ride Leader Jane. Here is her plan for the ride.

Outwards across Blackfriars Bridge, through Bloomsbury, Kings Cross to Camden Town. Steady ascent to Belsize Park via back streets of Kentish Town (no fiendish hills or I wouldn't be doing it!). Brief stop at Isokon building, Lawn Rd (previously featured on Eva's Bauhaus ride), sadly the gallery is now closed for winter months but we'll hear a bit about its history and some of its famous former residents. Return is downhill via Primrose Hill with coffee stop in Regent's Park and back South across Waterloo Bridge through Elephant & Castle and Walworth. Mostly cycle lanes & quiet streets, some short sections of busy roads at times. 16.5 miles, 25.5 km

Ride 2. Exploring Dulwich < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/exploring-dulwich-southwark-healthy-cycle-ride-tickets-471073693097 >

Did you know Dulwich has a castle, and football and cycling stadiums, even a Toll Booth!? Come on this easy 9 mile, 2 hour ride and be amazed. Start Dulwich Park Cafe, then up to Dawsons Heights for the view. Next across to Dulwich Hamlet football stadium and down Greendale to Dulwich Village.

Continuing south past Dulwich Picture Gallery and Dulwich College to the only Toll Gate in London. Then loop up to Kingswood House, aka Bovril Castle, back through Bel Air Park, on to Herne Hill Velodrome, and back to Dulwich Park. Bruce leading. Google map: https://goo.gl/CJRHNu

These rides are part of the Healthy Riders group, organised by Bruce Lynn on behalf of Southwark Cyclists https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/. Like everything else we do, our activities are all free. We co-operate with other London Cycling Campaign groups like Greenwich Cyclists. The LCC details are here: https://lcc.org.uk/.

    • Defo, where are you based so I can collect?
    • There is no other way than to move out. I am in such a situation myself where our neighbours are complete assholes. They breached the Covenants and when we pointed it they said to take them to court if we want.  Unfortunately, they have made our life miserable and we have to move out.    What helped in our situation is having a calm conversation face to face. It only happened after they tasted their own medicine(i know it's mean but nothing else helps).   I know it's unfair but better move out and prioritise your mental health.
    • Thank you so much for the reply. Jeffery turned up a couple of hours ago. I edited title to say found but somehow it didn't save. Thank you so much for going to the trouble of posting this sighting... even if it didn't turn out to be Jeff.  Jeff came running down the street like a bat out of hell and ran into the house. Never been so relieved. Mind you i've been up and down the roads shouting his name out all day. Even in Wingfield street. 🤗
    • I saw a smallish black cat outside 1 Wingfield Street just now.  I am not convinced it was Jeff, the eyes look a little different.
