I bought this not long ago, with a view to minor restoration and home usage.

The chair is all original, including upholstery, exactly as it was back when it was made during the 1940s. This was a utility chair, which is indicated by the Parker Knoll stamp underneath the chair - CC41. More info here about utility furniture....plus a beautiful example of full restoration. http://number10upholstery.co.uk/portfolio-item/1948-utility-furniture-parker-knoll/

Unfortunately, the seat isn't comfortable for me, as I am a heavy person, and it would need re-stuffing for me. It might be perfectly comfy for someone who is much lighter. Otherwise, this is all that might need doing. Underneath, there were two issues with spring attachments. I made a temp fix with two screw eyes, which is actually very solid. I simply don't have the time and knowledge to give it the TLC it needs for me to be able to use it.

I paid £160 for it, and would like to recoup all, or as near as possible. It is a beautiful chair, and they sell for far more when restored.

I am in SE22, and would be happy to deliver free, by prior arrangement.
