Odd jobs

Hi there,

I need some help to do the following:

1) refix a shed door (probably requires plaining along the bottom and rehanging)

2) secure a table leg

3) fix a cupboard strut

4) remove some fixings from walls/ceiling and fill holes

5) replace some edging on a kitchen cupboard

5) painting - a couple of touch ups after a leak, painting over the filled holes mentioned above plus a couple of rooms to be repainted

6) replacing window handles

7) put up a curtain pole

There may be a couple of other things but this gives you an idea.

Will need someone who can bring all of the equipment needed to do the jobs and can take care of this entirely as I will not be able to help. I will get the materials.

In terms of timing this needs to be done in at least two visits - most of the stuff can be done whenever (in the next two/three weeks) and am absolutely open to someone popping in and out as they have the time, but final painting will need to be on 13 Jan (after I have moved furniture out).

If this might suit, would love to hear from you.

Thanks!

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
