French classes

Bonjour,

My name is Elise and I offer one to one French classes to all level and ages. I am a native and qualified teacher with about ten years of experience. I cover sentence structure, grammar, verbs, to slowly build up your conversation and get you confident and comfortable with the language.

I provide all material, and depending on your expectations and your way of learning, I make the classes either more interactive or more academic.

I make sure we cover

* the practice of conversation and building up sentences

* grammar and verbs learning

* vocabulary and sentence structure explanation

* pronunciation, reading through articles of your interest

As I think learning needs to be fun, I can make the classes more or less interactive, using books, games and magazines that I bring from France, or we can do classes outdoor/cooking in French. A the moment I do most of my classes using Skype/ Zoom / Teams or Whatsapp, but I am flexible to do face to face depending where we meet.

I charge £25 online, and £35 in person.

    • I think free calls and WiFi might be considered a public service. Many, of course, are on contracts which offer much of that, but not everybody, and particularly not those who can't afford such contracts. Or maybe those are the sort of people you don't want to be mixing with on Lordship Lane.
    • Not in anybody’s back yard, to be fair.  I think I made it clear it was just my opinion. As far as I understand it, there is no wider need for any of the proposed functionality (and I’d be happy to be shown actual evidence otherwise); it’s just an big digital advertising screen taking up quite a lot of pavement. None of it is a public service, as one can see on the existing - well, I’ll call it a digital bollard. So yes, I think it’s terrible idea. And if you don’t, that’s also absolutely fine
    • Thanks! I do use it too, if I know I want something specific. But I really like the experience of browsing and finding unexpected things too.
