Pet/House Sitters

Recommended Posts

We are looking for someone to pet sit/house sit whilst we have a holiday this summer - we've tried some of the agencies and not been happy. We have four gorgeous cats and two huge, but third-ager and downright soppy, dobermann. We'd just like to come home to happy, healthy animals and a clean house. If you know of anyone or ARE that person/couple - I'd be hugely grateful to hear from you. We have a dog walker during the week - so there is back-up - and we offer a good rate of pay.

Hello there,

My name is Keir and I'm a contemporary dancer, aged 30, with currently a fair bit of time on my hands! I would be very happy to help help in any way and look after your pets and home while you are away during the summer. It would be great to do something useful and would very much enjoy walking your dogs etc. I'm currently staying at my partners place in kirkwood road.

I have some work lined up in July, so perhaps that might be tricky depending on dates. When are thinking of going away? June, the first week of July and all of August I'm completely free.

My number is 077474 606565.

Obviously could pop round to meet you anytime.

Many Thanks,

Keir

Hello,

I just wondered if you had found someone to pet sit for you? I am a huge animal lover and have 2 huge elderly British Blues myself. I always find it a struggle to get someone to look after our cats when we're away but luckily our lovely neighbours now looks after them. I live in Honor Oak and have 2 children. I will be available from 5th August - 27th August to look after your animals if needed. I have done this many times for friends and would normally visit daily for an hour of so to feed, play, cuddle animals and can also clean the house. If this is something you would consider rather than a live in sitter do let me know as I'd be more than happy to look after your pets whilst you're on holiday. Kind Regards Claire [email protected].

Hi I hope you are well. Are you still seeking a house pet sitter?

I am a CRB-checked cat lover with previous experience as a cat fosterer for a registered charity and a house sitter for a doctor in Forest Hill.

If you have already found someone, then I wish you all the best, if not, then perhaps we could talk.

Many thanks, Lizzy

I would like to recommend Cidersioux from the forum as she was absolutely brilliant with my two Alsations when we went to Wales for the week...She stayed in my house for the week as one of my dogs is ill and can't walk properly and kept us up to date with their welfare and even sent us pictures to show that they were ok..

When we came back the dogs looked very well were brushed had new toys and the house was cleaned top to bottom.....(she also does cleaning work)... She normally looks after pets in her own home which is in Forest Hill but will also look after them in yours if that is what you prefer...She does not take multiple pets unless they are from the same family or if the two familys agree on their pets staying together then that is ok.... if you would like any more info please call me Lily on 0207 701-4551 or direct to sioux on 07963939133

    • The difficulty with all the national shame is that you are handing the world to the right wing populist parties ("The flag, love it or leave it").  You can look at many if not most of Europe for the damage their colonial conquests did to much of the world. For Britain we could equally look at partition and the impact on the Indian subcontinent, 10 million plus death and the bonkers situation with India and Pakistan now.  Spain and Portugal went much further in wiping out much of the population of South America.  i understand that Stalin was less.  We all know about the Third Reich, even then perhaps the allies could have done more. I am not questioning what you say, but sadly most are only concerned about the present and don't care about sins of the past. And back to my earlier comment that some will point out other 'conflicts' attracting much less interest. Not a reason not to march tomorrow

    • I'm interested to know why you say that? They both sell the same kind of thing, they both have own brand products, and unless I've got it completely wrong, they both seem to be trying to attract the same kind of customer? I would have thought a Waitrose and an M&S so close to each other would have split the customer base (?not sure of the correct term) for both of them? People might shop in both, but I'd have thought each store would still lose out on sales?
    • I thought of going to the States for the World Cup.  But I just can't - Trump, the nonsense of entering the States and what UEFA has done to the sport including enlarging the competition and selling out to Gulf/Middle East States has put me off. I found an article on the likely move of some European football overseas which prompted me to start the thread https://thefsa.org.uk/news/uefa-gives-go-ahead-for-overseas-competitive-fixtures/
