Brand new, not for profit, book containing a selection of true stories of murder, mayhem, manslaughter and suicide, victims and perpetrators interred in London's Nunhead Cemetery between the years 1853 and 1935.

The true stories of those unfortunate men, women, children and babies, who died at the hands of others, and those tragic men and women who died by their own hand.

Sixty three stories, some illustrated with black and white pictures/photographs. A grid plan of the cemetery is included together with the Square and Grave Number of the victim/perpetrator.

The gothic Nunhead Cemetery of All Saints in London was opened for burials in 1840. Around 269,000 burials had taken place between 1840 and 1969 when it was abandoned. It was acquired by Southwark Council in 1974.

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
