Hot brass! 3 trombones for sale

Due to a clear out I have some much loved trombones that are ready to go to a good home locally.

King 3B - £1100

Serial number 893631, which puts it as early-80s. I had this refurbished about five years ago by a local brass specialist so it looks beautiful and plays with the famous big, bold, jazzy King 3B sound. It comes with the original 'coffin-style' case.

Olds super - £700

This is a vintage horn from the golden age of big band swing. It has a beautiful rose-brass bell with engraved nickel ring on the bell edge. The serial number (36495) dates it to 1949. It is in good condition for its age, the brass has faded, which adds to its charm. There are no material dings and the slide is smooth and fast. This comes with the original case.

Besson - £250

This is an English Besson (not the French brand) single-valve bass trombone, with a 9.5" bell and wide bore. The F-valve is a little sticky as it hasn't been used for many years, so probably needs a freshen up. The F-section tuning slide extends out to allow the range down to E-natural. This doesn't have its original case but does have a beautiful leather reunion blues gig bag.

I've added some pictures here but can send more on request. You are welcome to come and inspect and have a test play.

PM me if interested.

Steve
