Can anyone tell me where I can take old worn out clothes, sheets, pillowcases etc that are not fit for charity shops?

Is it just household waste or does the Old Kent Road recycle such stuff?

I want to avoid it going to landfill.

Some pairs of trousers could be turned into shorts and

One king size cotton sheet with a tear could be made into pillowcases if anyone is interested.

If you put it in a clothing bank or give it to a charity shop marked "rags" they will be able to sell it. I have reused worn out sheets and patched them. The problem can be that the whole sheet is worn out and weakened and it simply tears in different places.
