Family home available in Exmoor this August (sleeps 10)

I've recently moved from East Dulwich to Exmoor, and wondered if anyone would like to do the same... for a week in the summer holidays that is!

We are letting the whole house for the first two weeks of August (although some flexibility on dates). It sleeps 10 and would suit two families perhaps, or an extended family group. This is our home so no stag/hen parties please! There are 5 double rooms (two can be set up as twins), three bathrooms and 10 acres of private gardens and woodland. There is space to all eat together inside or out on the terrace.

The house is close to Dulverton and on the edge of Exmoor National Park. It's great for walking, cycling, wild swimming and other outdoor activities and it is a beautiful part of the world. The house and grounds would suit nature lovers and den builders alike. Red deer come through the woods and the bird life is amazing. Although in a secluded valley we are just 5 minutes from the pubs, shops and restaurants of Dulverton, and there are plenty of wet weather activities nearby. Well behaved dogs welcome.

Price per for the whole house for one week in August is £2,950 (first two weeks in August available).

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
