Desk Spaces for Rent in a Victorian Cobbled Mews

Garden Landscaping

Recommended Posts

I am posting here as I live in East Dulwich and commute here every day for work...

We have two desk spaces to rent in the historic setting of Iliffe Yard, situated within the Pullens Estate Conservation Area, Kennington/Elephant, SE17 3QA.

The space is home to a ceramic design studio, so adjacent to the office area (within a separate room) there is a small workshop, which could be suitable for those with a hands-on approach to design/model making.

Or, prospective co-sharers are welcome to use the desk space alone (a 'co-working' desk from Unto This Last and ergonomic office chairs from Humanscale)

The workshop includes: 1 x Union Graduate lathe, 1 x Record Power bandsaw and 1 x Triton spindle sander.

We have a well-equipped kitchen, which includes: a fridge, an electric hob, a kettle, a toaster, a Nespresso coffee machine, a microwave/oven, cutlery/utensils etc.

Prices are as follows:

Desk: £250pcm

Desk with access to the workshop: £350pcm

-  All bills included (water, electricity, internet).

- 1-month payment in advance, followed by monthly standing order.

-  2 months minimum notice

-  24/7 access with secure wrought iron gates, which are locked on evenings/weekends.

Excellent transport links: Kennington and Elephant & Castle tube stations, as well as Elephant & Castle Thames Link overground station, are all within 5 minutes walking distance. Not to mention the numerous bus links.

Iliffe Yard is home to many independent creatives and small businesses, from photographers, jewelers, potters, graphic designers, artists, structural engineers, architects…

Elephant & Castle has undergone a rapid re-development in recent years, with many popular new restaurants and bars having opened in the area.

Please call Billy to arrange a viewing or for any further information.

Many thanks.

    • There was a few around Loughborough Junction which were similar. The Green Man, Harrier's and The Loughborough Hotel come to mind. Harrier's could be a bit, erm, lively at times, but they were okay for a couple of pints early doors. A rough rule of thumb was, if someone puts The Wolfe Tones on the jukebox, you've probably outstayed your welcome. I was in one in Dalston Junction some years ago when a very large Irish lad mistook the home-made Scotch Bonnet sauce for tomato ketchup - and he obviously really liked tomato ketchup. I've never seen such a big bloke shed so many tears.
    • There's a thing called scan angels who can come to your location!
    • I agree with @malumbu Forest Hill around the Horniman. Forest Hill station has Southern Rail and Windrush, The London bridge train is great for connecting to Northern Line or Southern Trains to Charing X and Cannon Street.  When I need to get into the city I take Windrrush to Whitechapel then Elizabeth Line to Liverpool Street. Lots of parks, Lots of young families, farmers Market on Sunday, Decent nearby pool and gym. Independent Butcher a few Delis (Aga's The butcher sells Deli stuff And Pantry on Perry Vale) and good independent cofee shops, An organic  grocer on dartmouth road.. Sainsburys, Costa, Superdrug and TJ Jones (WHSmith) are branches of chains based there.
    • Thanks  for the advice .I did call Celia Hammond today and they are very busy at the moment and am waiting for a call back but in the meantime I thought I would see if I could find out who the owner was first . Thank you , I will try this if I can pick the cat up at some point if they let me if all else fails .
