Versatile vintage storage unit - £50

For sale, a late-20th century pigeon hole storage unit.

Not sure of the age but possibly the 1980s. This unit has had a life before us and gathered some scuffs and scratches but it is in good condition. It has very sturdy wooden shelves, with veneered edges, and a hardboard backing panel.  It is a bespoke, one-off  item, not IKEA or similar.

The 24 compartments offer lots of practical storage space perfect for keeping a workshop, shed or garage well-organised. We’ve been using it as storage for wood-working tools and DIY bits and pieces - it has served us very well.

It could also be used as a display unit. The unit is great as it is but it would also scrub up well with a little tlc and paint.

Take note, the compartments aren’t quite large enough for vinyl but they are perfectly-sized for many books, vases, plants, toys, hobby/craft equipment, tools and so on.

Dimensions

Width: 122cm (6 ft)

Height: 192cm (6 ft 3.5 ins) including base plinth

Depth: 30.2cm (just over 1 ft)

Internal dimensions of individual bays: 28.9cm square (just under 11.5 ins square)

Sadly, we can’t deliver so you will need a van (please make sure of the dimensions if you are hiring one). It is heavy but my girlfriend and I managed to move it successfully out of a hire van and into our ground floor workshop room with the help of a dolly (which you are welcome to use helping to move it into your vehicle). Useful though it is, we have to sell as we’re hoping to start some building works in the near future and need to clear the room.

Collection from Forest Hill, SE23 2ET.

Price: £50

This wooden storage unit is available.

Suitable for home, shop, workshop or garage.

If you are interested please check the measurements first - make sure you can get the item into the van you will be using, and make sure you will be able to get it into your home and manoeuvre it into the right room and place.  It's a big item, bespoke-made and not flat pack.

Price £50, collection only from Forest, Hill SE23 2ET.  You will need a van and two people to move it.  I can help at this end.  Evenings and weekends preferred but can be flexible.

    • I do hope NOT, wouldn't trust Farage as far as I could throw him, Starmer & co.  He's backed by GB News which focus's predominantly on immigration while the BBC focus predominantly on the Israel - Gazza conflict.
    • Everyone gets the point that Corbynites try to make with the "total number of votes cast" statistic, it's just a specious one.  In 2017, Corbyn's Labour got fewer votes than May's Tories (both the percentage of votes and aggregate number of votes). In 2019, Corbyn's Labour fewer votes than Johnson's Tories (both the percentage of votes and aggregate number of votes); and he managed to drop 2.7 million votes or 6.9% of vote share between the two elections. I repeat, he got trounced by Boris F***ing Johnson and the Tories after the Brexit omnishambles. It is not true that a "fairer" electoral system would have seen Labour beat the Tories: Labour simply got fewer votes than the Tories. Corbyn lost twice. There is no metric by which he won the general election. His failure to win was a disaster for the UK, and let Johnson and Truss and Sunak into office. Corbynites have to let go of this delusion that Corbyn but really won somehow if you squint in a certain way. It is completely irrelevant that Labour under Corbyn got more votes than Labour under Starmer. It is like saying Hull City was more successful in its 2014 FA Cup Final than Chelsea was in its 2018 FA Cup Final, because Hull scored 2 goals when Chelsea only scored 1. But guess what - Chelsea won its game and Hull City lost. Corbyn's fans turned out to vote for him - but an even larger group of people who found him repellant were motivated enough to show up and vote Tory.
