We are a small, friendly tuition company seeking an organised individual with teaching experience and excellent communication skills to join our team as Administrative Assistant to the company Director.  Start date July/August 2023. 

Job description: 

  • Processing new student referrals 

  • Communicating with parents, carers, young people, tutors, professional networks 

  • Recruiting new tutors 

  • Organising and planning the Director’s calendar 

Essential: 

  • Experience in education as a teacher  

  • Knowledge of and competence in using Microsoft Office 365  

  • Organisational skills 

  • Ability to communicate articulately, professionally and personably  

Location & Hours: 

Hybrid working with our office in Camberwell (SE5 7HN).  

Flexible working hours: minimum 20 hours (Monday-Friday).

    • I'm not sure what to make of that, Sue  "the Lambeth Country Show will not take place in June 2026."   It's been going for over 50 years. Seems a shame to bin that one off in favour of the other four festivals.
    • We did fine for 300 years with the Royal Mail before the current "competitive" shambles was introduced.     • That's certainly the narrative that runs ad infinitum on the Forum but I wonder how true it is. Speaking for myself I'm very happy M&S, Superdrug, Pret and, in the last century, Sainsbury's arrived and judging from the business they do I'm not alone.
