GEMS NURSERY PECKHAM

hi every one,

I will be going back to work in few months and I will need a nursery for my 10 months old boy.

Can any one tell me what they think about the gems nursery in peckham (opposite train station).

hey

I have been to have a look round a couple of times and i think it looks quite good. we have put our little boy down for a place to start in september. the nursery is ofsted registered but has not been rated yet. they have LOADS of space and the manager seems competent. the outdoor space is a bit dismal - they have to share with the cafe but this is the only real downside. hopefully they will go into the park if the weather is nice!

I've just called Gems and they said they are shuting down due to an issue with the owner! Does anyone know anything about this? Such a shame as looked good on their website and a perfect location!

I'm not sure hat is happening here. We had a text message from the owner telling us to come and collect our deposit as the nursery is under investigation. When I called to ask what had happened she said there had been an incident with a staff member force feeding one of the children. Am pretty surprised she only just told me a few days ago that we no longer have a nursery place when according to this post she must have known for ages!

ooo that doesn't sound very good as I nursery nurse myself the owner shouldn't have told you what had happen if it true or not and if your name is down on waiting list you should get a letter in post regarding this matter hope you find a nursery
