A lovely family looking for an experienced and caring Nanny and household manager to take care of our 2 young boys, aged 4 and 6, in North Dulwich.

As a Nanny, you will take care of our children, keep them safe and clean, plan and cook meals for them and organise creative and educational activities based on their age. You will need to pick them up from school and take to other extracurricular activities.

If you love working – and playing – with children and, also feel comfortable handling the less appealing tasks, such as tidying up children’s rooms and household chores, we would like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will reassure us as parents that, even when we are not around, our children remain in a safe and pleasant environment. Also, that you will respect the wishes and traditions of us to care for our children properly.

Work Hours

We both work long hours from Monday-Friday, and we would need the successful applicant to work:

·        Term time; 37.5 hours per week; Monday-Friday; 12:00 – 19:30

·        School holidays; 45-50 hours per week; Monday-Friday (Our boys are at Dulwich Prep London and typically school breaks are long - Christmas and Easter ~ 4 weeks, Summer ~ 8 weeks and 1 to 2 weeks for each half term break)

·        Ideally we would like to plan annual leave holidays during School holidays (some flexibility available for exceptional circumstances)

Benefits

·        4 weeks paid leave plus bank holidays

Location

·        Applicant to live locally in North Dulwich or willing to relocate.  Live-in considered

·        Ideally knows the local area well

Must have a diving license.

Potential to start now or in September.

Please get in contact.

Thanks, Caren.

    • As the days shorten having evening fireworks for e.g. birthday parties becomes more realistic, the idea that fireworks is only about Guy Fawkes day or New Year's Eve is not a rule. I personally do not like fireworks, but other do, and I would see no reason to stop other's pleasure. I am sure the local Puritans will object, and there are issues about disturbing wild life with unexpected noise. But I'm in favour of simple pleasures. And many do like fireworks.
    • That's great you have the cat! Sorry to interfere, and feel free to ignore this, but it might not be a great idea to post your mobile number on a public forum? You can message the owner on the forum via a private message.
    • Copleston centre hire for adult parties
    • Most churches rent out halls for children's' parties but rarely adult parties, Christ Church only does afternoon parties,   The East Dulwich Community centre hires out halls to 9 pm only and all music needs to be on a sound restrictor as is in a residential area. St Johns with St Clements have a small hall but not sure if they allow adult parties. Nunhead Green has a newish community centre with a couple of different size halls. Most places seem to charge around £40 ph  with a deposit of £100/200 (returned if no damage or excess cleaning needed.
