Salut! Hi! 🙂

I'm Laureen, a French teacher from the South of France who has been offering French classes in East Dulwich for almost 5 years. I have over 7 years experience and I am certified.

I only teach online at the moment but I work with a fellow teacher who teaches online and in person in South London. Nelly is great with kids.

I am experienced with children, adults and business teaching.

We offer friendly courses focused on speaking through games, songs, role-plays and a bit of grammar to understand the language.

I also help you set goals and help you achieve them outside of our weekly lesson(s) .

Finally, speaking would be useless without a good pronunciation. We will work on this too.

I often take on courses or workshops to improve my teaching techniques because even if a teacher is experienced I believe one should always find ways to progress and suit one's students' needs.

I give you the tools to manage yourself for your next trip or your expatriation! But not only! I also go further by helping you understand the French culture and humour.

I know how to motivate you, encourage you and help you reach your goals!

The first lesson is about getting to know each other (through French speaking of course) and testing your level but you'll be learning new things already!

Looking forward to meeting you!

à bientôt! see you soon!
Laureen

    • Ah, thanks,  it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?)  take over what  was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination?  In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia  as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.

    • A belated recommendation for Iain and Paul od Oddbods who came to help me with various jobs before Christmas.  Painting ceiling, renewing silicone around bath, repairing a window sill which was almost beyond repair and hanging a large mirror.   Very happy with their work and they are friendly and very reliable and excellent at communicating.  No hesitation in recommending them.
