Looking for a 2-bed near Peckham Rye

I'm looking for an unfurnished 2+ bed property, with a garden, near Peckham Rye station for long term let. Budget up to £2800 pcm, and looking to move ASAP.

I'm looking for a place just for myself to live in - leaving my current place as the landlord is selling. I'm 46, have good references, and work as director of a successful software company.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Fritz,

I'm not sure if you have found somewhere, but, depending on when you need to leave, I have just refurbished a 2 bed flat with a large lounge, cloakroom loo, new loft conversion with new kitchen, new bathroom and a utility room and office room.  It's a sunny top floor flat...but there are actually 4 levels as there are 2 split levels, so if feels really spacious.  It is next to East Dulwich Station, so not far from the Rye.  It is unfurnished largely, but a few things there.  It has no garden, apart from the front of the house, but it might even be a good place to let for a short term until you find the perfect place with a garden?  The garden flat beneath is let to just one person and they are lovely and have been very understanding during my renovation works.  The property is a Victorian conversion.  Sainsburys is nearby too.  I've not taken any photos as yet because there is just some new flooring going down in the lounge to be done over the next week.  It sounded like you want a nice place and you would be a good tenant so I thought I'd reply.  Happy to do a short let from mid-July....3 or 6 months is ok.  I'm happy to be flexible.  Was thinking the rent will be £2100 pcm.  I wish I could move in myself as I have tried to make it a great flat!  It's my only property....so I manage it myself.    Bests, Rebecca

    • There was a few around Loughborough Junction which were similar. The Green Man, Harrier's and The Loughborough Hotel come to mind. Harrier's could be a bit, erm, lively at times, but they were okay for a couple of pints early doors. A rough rule of thumb was, if someone puts The Wolfe Tones on the jukebox, you've probably outstayed your welcome. I was in one in Dalston Junction some years ago when a very large Irish lad mistook the home-made Scotch Bonnet sauce for tomato ketchup - and he obviously really liked tomato ketchup. I've never seen such a big bloke shed so many tears.

    • I agree with @malumbu Forest Hill around the Horniman. Forest Hill station has Southern Rail and Windrush, The London bridge train is great for connecting to Northern Line or Southern Trains to Charing X and Cannon Street.  When I need to get into the city I take Windrrush to Whitechapel then Elizabeth Line to Liverpool Street. Lots of parks, Lots of young families, farmers Market on Sunday, Decent nearby pool and gym. Independent Butcher a few Delis (Aga's The butcher sells Deli stuff And Pantry on Perry Vale) and good independent cofee shops, An organic  grocer on dartmouth road.. Sainsburys, Costa, Superdrug and TJ Jones (WHSmith) are branches of chains based there.
