We have recently had a full house refurb with single storey extension and I cannot recommend Jon at Perfect House Trading and his friendly, tidy, hardworking and highly skilled team enough. The whole experience has been a joy.

The quality of the work is fantastic. Our neighbours have been really happy with their professionalism, communication and tidiness. It has been a pleasure to work with them all and get to know them.

The communication has been brilliant both with the details of the work and the finances. He has been really helpful with advice as well as letting us have the final say with all things aesthetic - we wanted red stairs, he gave us red stairs, with only the smallest raised eyebrow.

Our property is an old stable and has plenty of charm and we wanted to maintain the character throughout and protect it's quirks which Jon and his team have been sensitive to. They even built fences around the apple tree and protected the pond and garden for us - aware that I was very conscious of the detrimental impact building work can have on garden habitats.

Happy to answer any questions if you want to know more about our journey!

    • It's taken time to see the legacy of Thatcher's free market policy but we're really seeing it now with utilities, housing and infrastructure 😢.  I think I've remembered correctly that on Dirty Business they said we are the only country in the world to have our water supply totally privately owned.   When it gets taken back into public ownership the private owners will rub their hands together with glee having withdrawn massive profits and bonuses over the last 30 + years, let the infrastructure go to pot and now have the taxpayer come back in after this long period of neglect and pay for the failing systems to be rebuilt.  If you think those companies will suffer at the hands of government then you have more faith than I.  Thatcherism has a lot to answer for ☹️
    • what's scandalous is our government allowing it. The should and can impose fines and order works which would lead to TW becoming bankrupt, at which point it can be taken back into the public domain.
    • The privatisation of water is just ridiculous. I have the Safer seas and rivers service app on my phone (recommend it if you like to swim outside) and the regular (weekly) sewage dumps highlighted all along the south coast is just outrageous.
    • That's a disgusting slur against an innocent driver who was probably just on their way to drop off freshly-baked muffins at an orphanage when they had to swerve out of the way of a so-called "cyclist", and anyway traffic lights are just a Marxist conspiracy by Southwark Council to slow traffic down and force people out of cars, so we're all better off without it.
