Good morning, my name is Selina and I am based in Camberwell.

I have nearly 10 years experience of working with children from 0 to 10 years old, whether that’s been within settings or their homes. My specialism is Early Years, as I was a Senior Key Teacher at a nursery in South London for 6 years - I am very experienced with babies and I love to help them achieve their developmental milestones. Within the last two years, I have been a manager for an online tutoring company, where we supported students from Reception to Adult learners with their studies - I was responsible for recruitment, liaising with parents and students and ensuring all tutors were delivering lessons to a high standard. I was also involved with Primary school and TEFL tutoring too.

I am friendly, caring, conscientious and very dedicated to my role. Teaching and supporting children has always been my passion since I was younger, hence why I got into teaching in the first place! It’s something I don’t want to lose and would like to continue, as I have been out of the classroom for the last two years. I still familiarise myself with updated legislation, guidelines and the curriculum to ensure I am up to date. As well as English, I can also speak Spanish if that is useful to anyone.

I have Level 3 certificates as a Teaching Assistant and Nursery Practitioner, as well as a Level 5 TEFL certificate. In addition, I have a clean, enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service and references available. My schedule is pretty open at the moment to daytime and evenings, but we can discuss specific commitments in due course.

Please get in touch if you would like to know more information or are interested in my services.

    • You're forgetting that the Labour Administration under Blair - while not directly responsible for privatisation - actually reinforced the privatisation by changing their licences and basically cementing the agreement, ignoring warnings, failing to return the industry to the public sector, and there were in fact tenuous links of the Labour Administration to the private profit making sector. It's like saying the bathroom flooded because Thatcher turned the tap on - but not mentioning that Blair put the plug in and turned the tap on full

    • Currently has some availability for local handyman jobs.
    • It's taken time to see the legacy of Thatcher's free market policy but we're really seeing it now with utilities, housing and infrastructure 😢.  I think I've remembered correctly that on Dirty Business they said we are the only country in the world to have our water supply totally privately owned.   When it gets taken back into public ownership the private owners will rub their hands together with glee having withdrawn massive profits and bonuses over the last 30 + years, let the infrastructure go to pot and now have the taxpayer come back in after this long period of neglect and pay for the failing systems to be rebuilt.  If you think those companies will suffer at the hands of government then you have more faith than I.  Thatcherism has a lot to answer for ☹️
