Hi

I sell used children's items on behalf of people who don't have time to use eBay, Gumtree, EDF etc themselves. I have mainly stuck to higher end, more expensive clothing but am getting numerous requests to sell lower priced kid's clothing which I would have to bundle up.

Could anyone give me some advice as to how these bundles should be put together?

I assume same age and sex is a prerequisite?

Does it need to be the same brand too?

How many items approx per bundle?

What sort of mix of clothing should it be? (I'm assuming all summer stuff together, winter stuff together etc)

What would you expect to pay for a standard High St label clothing bundle?

Any other tips would be appreciated before I start selling this stuff.

Thanks

Alfy

I'm expecting a girl in September but personally I'd love unisex bundles. I've kept my eye out for basics and small sizes but everything is either pink/purple butterflies or blue/brown tractors.

So if you were able to offer, perhaps as well as gendered bundles, neutral / unisex bundles whether plain or bright colours I'm sure there'd be a market in that! I'm not the only person looking for this kind of thing.

Price / size wise I'd be happy to buy either smaller bundles eg of 5-10 babygrows, or a bunch of leggings etc, or a larger mixed bundle. For plainer items such as vests, tshirts, all in ones, I'd not want to pay more than 50p per item; for outdoor type stuff, jumpers etc it would depend on the quality. But to be honest if I saw a bundle of which I'd use more than half (currently, I think well I'd only used a small proportion of that), I might pay more.

Bearing in mind that the cheapest new stuff you can buy (primark/asda) is 3 baby grows for a fiver, I wouldn't pay more than 50p for a second hand baby grow in good nick, or 20p for a vest

Socks are actually quite expensive for babies

If the bundles will be picked up rather than posted I would do ?5 bundles, say

5 baby grows

5 vests

Then make it up with some socks, couple of cardis

For older kids, say 3 dresses or 3 tops/trousers, again for a fiver.

    • Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.
    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? 'To contact Southern Housing's CEO, Paul Hackett, you can try his direct email, [email protected], or use the general contact email [email protected], as well as calling their main number, 0300 303 1066, for general inquiries or to be directed to the executive level.' Also, from the website: https://www.southernhousing.org.uk/latest-news/2025/contacting-us-over-the-festive-period   'Contacting us about an emergency? If you have an emergency outside of the above times over the festive period, such as severe flooding, an uncontainable leak, gas leak, complete electrical failure or lift breakdown, please call us on 0300 303 1066' I hope it is sorted out soon.
    • Dawson Heights again  2 lifts out of order at ladlands block Christmas Eve so of course the 🛗 will not be repaired tomorrow Christmas Day or Boxing Day or when how do elderly or mothers with children and prams and food and presents get to the floors and with the 10 minutes you get to drop off  to park and not get a Pcn fine and delivery food to relatives who can’t leave their house unbelievable Southern housing does any know email address of Coe of southern housing
    • Sorry but I think it's best if people just check things for themselves when they buy things. In three shops/restaurants (from some years back) I just avoid the places concerned, as in all three  cases I was pretty sure it wasn't a genuine mistake, and in one place  it happened more than once and usually late at night.
