Not quite East Dulwich, but does anyone know what happened to the greengrocer "Seasons of England" which used to occupy one of the arches in Herne Hill? It just vanished a while ago, with no notice, no sign up on the building and even the website is unchanged.

Yup, they closed down because their rent was increased and they couldn't afford it any more. They did say that they were exploring new premises and to look out for their reappearance in the area but haven't as yet found out if that is happening.

******* rent increases.

Real shame. I wasn't able to go for a few weeks, then it was just gone. This was the kind of shop that's really good for a local area, plus it had a lot of UK produce and wasn't the price of the upscale veg shops.

Hi All

Hi Seasons of England did vacate 292 Milkwood Road, but WE ARE BACK 3 doors up the road at 290 Milkwood Road next door to Dugards the butchers. We have reduced our trading days and are open Friday to Monday. We are in the process of updating the website at present. We look forward to seeing you all at our new shop!

I am so glad to hear that!

Is the trading days reduction temporary or permanent?

    • some titles are "protected" ie you have to have certain qualifications and be registered with the supervising council https://www.hcpc-uk.org/about-us/who-we-regulate/the-professions/ Dietician is registered and protected Nutricionist is neither. Anyone can claim to be a nutricionist or chiropracter etc
    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
