RIDE Aug 19th. Henry Moore Statues Ride.

Please register on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers, link: < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/henry-moore-sculpture-ride-tickets-694577900197  >.

Note the unusual starting location and the different start & end points. Here is the ride info from Jane who will be leading:

“Start 10h00, finish 13h30.  Start location: Archbishop's Park, Royal Street/Lambeth Palace Road junction (opposite St Thomas's Hospital Emergency Dept.). End location:  Kennington Park Café.  Distance: 13.78 miles / 22.18 km. This ride follows a route across Vauxhall Bridge and mostly through central London to look at 8 works created by the sculptor Henry Moore. We will return via South Kensington and Chelsea, visiting "Three Standing Figures" in Battersea Park and ending with a surprise (for some) on the Brandon Estate near Kennington Park."

Be prepared for a bit of stop/start riding as we'll be hearing brief facts about each sculpture and there will be a coffee stop at some point. We should finish by 13h30. Anyone who needs it will be given directions back to Southwark destinations from Kennington Park.  Route at

    • Hussein and his team have just finished painting our main reception room, kitchen and hallway throughout the house. We also threw a few extra curve balls in while we were away like painting the front door, garden walls and helping fit some new lights. Hussein is a pleasure to deal with: professional, diligent, trust worthy, flexible and a really nice bloke. This is the second time we have worked with him and will definitely do so again.
    • - had all the wrong connections at the wrong time - fraternised with some well dodgy blokes or rather one at least   - smart and  smooth talker - he has all the smoothness and ability to flatter - he is highly polished - skilled at making personal connections - never liked or trusted the chap, reminiscent of a slime ball
    • A friend has asked me to recommend Juliene for regular cleaning as she has some slots available. Her phone number is 07751426567
    • I'd put short odds on that but who would be his likely successor?
