poppet27
Forgive me if I'm being naive, but how does one clean the exterior white masonry on windows? We have a typical Victorian house that had its window sills and frames painted white last yr, but now look grimy from soil and dirty rainwater. I don't think they need reprinting yet again, but would like tips on cleaning them.Ta Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/33181-how-to-clean-exterior-white-windowsill/ Share on other sites

Annette Curtain
If it's gloss, then hot soapy water with a little vinegar added, use a soft dish or nylon brush. If it's matt masonry paint, like outside emulsion, then a little Cif cleaner with hot water and again a dish brushIn each case rinse well. Most paint (interior or exterior) benefits from regular washing down.
