Arts and Crafts Entertainment for Birthday Parties and Events

Recommended Posts

Hi my name is Kes[Kerry]

My greatest love in life is Art and Crafts and Gardening.

In the past few years I have been volunteering at Ethelred Nursery and Adventure Playgrounds while working. Now my children are grown up I have decided to start my own business Heart in Art Workshops providing Art and Crafts themed workshops for Kids.

From the earliest age, children just love to make things. Admittedly they start by making a mess, but in time their painting, sticking, kneading and moulding start to take a pleasing, recognisable form.

When clutching a big paintbrush, sticking pasta to a piece of card, squeezing clay or bread dough, children are developing motor skills which will later be fine-tuned to manageable tasks such as writing and using cutlery effectively.

Furthermore, these early attempts stimulate many senses while introducing new techniques. By providing a balance and a creative outlet, art skills complement and assist literacy and numeracy skills in the classroom.

If you're not artistically inclined yourself, or never have the time to sit down and help your child create a wonderful cushion, collage or clay model, why not leave it to the experts?

If you would like to book one of my workshops for your childs birthday, or a street party or fun day or just want to discuss ideas then please,

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
    • Yard Sale does have some seating but not as much as FM.
