Hello!

I'm looking for a nanny to help with after school care, evenings and occasional babysitting for my children Rory, 3 and Lucy, 5. We're based in SE15 and the children attend pre-school nursery and year 1 at Edmund Waller.

The children are into crafts, sports, imaginative play, and would really benefit from an enthusiastic and creative nanny to help them make the most of the hours between school pickup and us being able to finish or get home from work. My partner and I work either from home or from locations near London Bridge and for the most part we just need a bit of help to get us to the end of the working day. We're looking for someone who can take the children to the park or to playdates when needed, and also help us out with school holidays and inset days, as well as babysitting a couple of times a month. The ideal person will be happy to collect and entertain the kids, plus prepare simple meals and sometimes also do bed and bath time for them, as I will be travelling for work occasionally.

We hope the nanny can start as soon as possible for some settling in days before being fully up and running from October, with days and times being flexible but largely Monday - Thursday and the occasional Friday. We will pay tax, NI, pension etc and do things properly, and hope to find someone who can settle into our family indefinitely to ensure continuity for the children. We want the emphasis for them to be on fun, and are looking for a loving and kind, energetic and creative person to take care of them when jobs mean we can't.

Please DM me if interested.

Melanie

    • Hi all,   I'm Natalie, piano teacher in Nunhead.    I teach all ages, children, teens, adults, all styles.   Lessons are fun, and tailored for what the student needs/wants.    I've opened up loads of new slots every day of the week, daytimes, and after school and evenings.    I've been teaching for 15 years, am a performer, singer, guitarist and keyboard player in a few local bands, and I do stage management for UK's largest open mic, as well as run my own events, for my students, and Singer Songwriter showcases.      Call or text me on 07730 402336. Natalie.
    • Another stinker, thank goodness for the international break. Week 3 points...   Week 3 table...
    • Hospices are coming under increasing pressure at the moment. Not only have their costs been forced up by the increase in employers NI and possibly the minimum wage for some workers, but the recent assisted dying legislation, which forces doctors faced with patients likely to die to offer suicide as a way out means that numbers of hospice doctors will withdraw as they don't ethically hold with the legislation. Additionally we might anticipate a reduction in research on end-of-life care and pain alleviation where the government is supporting an alternative (and one far cheaper than proper end-of-life care). This all brings pressure on the hospice movement as the assisted dying philosophy runs counter to it. It is hardly surprising then that they are looking to gain as much benefit as they can from higher prices.
