shazza76
Basically I’ve got a fair few bits to get rid of; broken hoovers, old cooker, high chair etc… I’ve looked at the website and I see for a fee you can book a date for the removal to take place as long as you leave everything out the front. Has anyone used this service recently, did the council removals team actually come on the day you booked? I really don’t want to put everything out front (from the garden) just for it to sit there for weeks. evilmanic
Used it a few times, they've always turned up on the right day. They also send a notification the day before as well - no problems at all. 1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/332811-has-anyone-had-the-council-come-and-remove-broken-items-recently-how-did-it-go/#findComment-1638366 Share on other sites
Rockets
Similar experience for me. Only word of advice is to make sure everything is clearly listed when you make the booking and check their guidance on what you can and can't put outside. Deffo clearly list everything especially if you're including a covering/packaging for the item as they tend to only take what you say.
