Open-access screen printing studio on Chadwick Road is crowd funding for a sustainable future and to benefit the local community!  Lots of beautiful prints are on sale to raise funds.

Crowd Funding

Hello, I live between Peckham and East Dulwich and I work for Sonsoles Screen-Printing Studio.

We still need to raise about £3,500.  The studio offers courses, affordable membership, print service, screen service and most importantly, a place for serious fun, whoever you are.

They also run quite a few workshops for university students- can you believe that universities have to outsource this!? It’s because many courses are over subscribed and they can’t accommodate students from other pathways 😕 and in some cases universities are getting rid of printing equipment. Having been a student and employee of UAL, I can believe it!

The studio has run lots of workshops for primary and secondary students and would love to run more but art departments struggle with budgets.

The studio wants to run residencies to give graduates the opportunity to continue their practice when they graduate too. The harsh reality is it’s just not possible for many.

Please help in whatever way you can, this place has meant so much to so many people 🙏🏻

    • Loki hasn’t been seen since Sunday. He’s all grey but if you look closely he has faint stripes on the top of his tail. No pedigree, just very much loved. About 4 years old. No collar, but chipped.  please keep an eye out for him. We live on Barry Road SE22
    • I went in here the other day. The fruit is all really good - ripe and fresh. They also sell good bread (and croissants and pastries) from a independent bakery, the name of which I've forgotten. 🤦 The prices (which are marked) are not cheap but they are fair imo. Comparable to the specialist fruit shop on Lordship Lane (Brothers?) for really good quality. It's similar prices to Simply Fresh - but Simply Fresh's fruit and veg is very poor. Beaten about and tasteless. Sainsbury's is certainly cheaper. IMVHO they're a good addition to the Dulwich Village "retail offer".
    • Went actually for the first time yesterday. Terrific food, so was well pleased. Agree with previous poster to support.
    • Hi!! Moving house soon so looking for some cardboard boxes. Anyone know of any shops or cafes that may be giving some away?
